A few questions about the Rebel Yell
« on: April 07, 2007, 01:09:33 AM »
Hey everyone, I'm thinking about trying a set of Rebel yells in one of my PRS Singlecuts. I have a few questions.
1. What spacing do I need for the bridge and neck (my PRS is a stoptail)
2. Does the regular nickel gover version of the rebel yell have regular looking screw polepieces (ie..will it look like the stock pickups it's replacing?
3. Has anyone tried one of these in a PRS Singlecut or any PRS for that matter? What are your impressions?
Thanks for all your help.

1. In my PRS Singlecut SE it's 53mm bridge, 50mm neck. Measure the string distance between e1 and e6 at the pickup position to verify.
2. I would say yes.
3. RebelYell is a pickup designed for Les Pauls, which is why it will sound good. What are you looking for? What's the reason for the change? If splitting is highly important to you, you should go with VHIIs instead, they are killing both, as humbuckers as well as singlecoils in a PRS. Listen to my "the wall pt. II" inspired track where I swith through all positions on a Singlecut SE with coils tapped here and there: http://www.bareknucklepickups.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7452

Finally, I would advise you to get in touch with Tim from BKP, he never fails in giving the right advise.
