I want to change the pups in my Les Paul Standard for a set of BKP. I've been aware of them for sometime and have read a lot of great reviews. I'm confused though as to what to put in. There are so many great reviews for all the BKP. I play different styles from Blues/Rock to heavier stuff ( more classic than modern ) and sometimes play in a punk band playing late 70's punk/new wave. i.e Sex Pistols, SLF, Stranglers, etc.
I am also inspired by the great combination of Les Paul and Marshall stack. I realy like Jimmy Page, Garry Moore, Slash and more recently James Dean Bradfield ( early Manics ).
I was convinced that a set of Black Dogs was the one for me but I'm open to suggestions by anyone who has road tested BKP and can offer their opinion. Any one got an opinion on the Rebel Yell's?

I think that would be a good choice.

VHII or Rebel Yells are good choices too.

The hell with it, just get a pair of each of them and buy matching guitars afterwards :twisted:

I would suggest Rebel Yell humbuckers-great classic rock tone with enough aggression for punk too!

Anyone got a set of Rebel Yells in a Les paul that can tell what they think?
