Have you considered a Riff Raff neck? I have a pair in my SG and the Alnico V magnet is great for blues stuff yet clear enough for higher gain too. I'd personaly go with that in your case over the Stormy Monday.
I have thought about the riff raff but I thought it might be a bit too spiky sounding, as I prefer a smoother sounding neck pickup.
It's really not that spiky! You can get a great blues tone out of it. It does have a slightly more pronounced treble that say a Mule, but that works well in a neck pickup giving clarity. Depends how "sweet" you want the neck pickup to sound. It would be this order:
Sweeter/woollier/smoother -- -- -- -- Brighter/clearer/more transparent
Stormy Monday (Alnico II) -- -- Mule (Alnico IV) -- -- Riff Raff (Alnico V)
As Phil says, it's down to preference on your part and the tones you're after.
