VHII...Hot enough for teacher?
« on: April 19, 2007, 08:12:31 PM »
Hi guys. I'm back. Some of you may remember me, some may not. Anyway, my question.

I'm getting a job here soon and am going to get an LP as soon as I can. I was going to put a set of VHIIs in.

However, I've been really obsessed with No More Tears lately, and I was wondering if the VHIIs could do that. The song, btw, not the whole album.

So how's about it?

Short answer: Yes, but not as easily as a Miracle Man.

But then again, ALL New Yorkers are loud & proud! LOL

I may be moving up there sooner or later. Indiana, so it's just a car ride away.

Like TO said, into the right amp with enough gain it'll do it but nowhere near as easily as the Miracle Man or Cold Sweat.By comparison the VHII is very clean and clear without the thickness in the lower mid that the MM has.

You know, upon further reflection, this is not what I'm after.

I need a bridge that will do a "wall of sound" type of thing. I don't know if any of you are into Deftones, but the song Minerva is what I have in mind. Also, I'd like it to be boom-ish on the bass when doing palm mutes. If the MM fits those two, then combo stays. Thanks again guys.

A link might help, so...
