Just got back from the LGS. I forgot how loud it is in these shows! I don't how the exhibitors do it for 3 days.
It was good to meet Afghan Dave, Bucketshred and see Ben, Phil and Davey again. Tim and Jonathon too.
I had a go on those new PG Blues pickups which sound really nice, plus some new tele ones and the Painkillers.
Davey, Bruce Dickensons son was playing your Charvel with the Warpig in and he said it sounds nice but there a bit too expensive! A millionaire rock star dad and there still too expensive?? :?
Warpig, MQ,
Miracle Man-Trilogy Suite, Cold Sweats, Black Guards, Rebel Yells & Irish Tours!

Lmao!

You saw Austin?

I was standing less than a meter from you then :P

We had a fun time - It was ace, specially since Nikko got us all backstage passes to see Steve Vai etc, (who gave the most unhelpful response to my friend's question about what piece he should audition for berkley - Steve answered "Whatever you feel comfortable playing" - Thanks Mr Vai.)

Talking of Steve Vai - Pin told me that he'd been a premadona saying that he wouldn't come because he had a brown sofa instead of a black one - And whining about his shoes not being the same colour as the stool.

Cool to see Ben, Phil, Tim, Jonathan etc, - Sorry for not saying hi to the first 3 - But hey Jonathan :>

Talking about the Charvel - We loved it so much that my friend Ben came back 3 times to shred a bit more on it :P

PS: Bruce isn't stingy - He just doesn't spoil his kids - Although he likes to spoil himself and bought himself a lurvley acoustic.

PS2: Bought myself an Ibanez RG42DX in Blue - Flamed maple top, neck through, Edge Pro bridge and suprisingly good stock pickups - THEY SCREAM - Even the Neck pickup squeals pinches :D - Although ofc, bare knuckles will go in there as soon as I have the cash.

PS3: If you saw Ben - nuts shredder guy on the Charvel he's in a band with Austin Dickinson - www.myspace.com/halidemetal - I'm the guitar tech :p

Personally I didnt think it was any way as good as the shows of the last 3 or so years I've been at when it was at Wembley.

But, that could be because I was totally not going on a guitar hunt, I was on a amp hunt. Just seemed to me that although there was some very nice kit there, at previous shows, there were more stalls where more bargains could be found at "LGS prices" - but like I said, this year, I didnt even look at a single guitar and no doubt if you're on the look out for a guitar, MY GOD - THERE WERE 1000's to choose from - as amps went, I tried nearly every brand that was there and still came home empty handed, and a little annoyed at the fact that when I said...

"I really like 6L6 valve tones" - the amount of blank looks I got from the 17 year old "assistants" who didnt even seem to know what a valve amp was let alone valve types and characteristics.

Any rant over - was good to meet some BKP satff and thank them for making great pups. My amp hunt continues...

Well he does have highlights in his hair
You should expect him to want to colour match his shoes with the sofa.
