the extra fretboard also means that there will be less tonal difference between the neck and bridge pickups so its worth taking that into account when choosing pickups

Definately, this is the first guitar that i enjoy playing with both pickups at the same time- a really good lead sound, but also a different sound for rhythm.

It's nice having the extra 3 frets, the main reason was because i normally tune to C#, so i could capo it at fret 3, and still have a 24 fret guitar... but i don't really tune to that anymore, so it stays in standard tuning, but it's great for tapping, and sweeps sound real fluid that high up :) When i ordered it, Dariusz told me that in the last 3 years, they'd only build 3 guitars with maple fretboards, so it was nice to have something different :) The neck is really thin too, and the whole guitar is really light.

Mine came with the flightcase too, so the sub-£900 price was very good indeed :) It did take me 2 years to get the money together for the 50% pre-payment though... every time i nearly got it together, something would go wrong (usually car repairs etc.)!

Which do you reckon i should go for?

bear in mind that i'm going for gold pinstripes instead of bevels as show on the pic (i couldn't do pin stripes with the programme that i used)

The open coil PUPs represent a seymour duncan in the nec (its cheaper) and a bare knuckle in the bridge

If you're gonna be saving as you say for like three or four years, is there any point skimping on the neck pickup to save yourself 30 bucks?

Yea, thats the thing i regret- i got a SD JB in the bridge, and a PAF Pro in the neck, when i should have just got them to put Bareknuckles in. Not such a biggie, but at the time i just didn't have the money for them!
