Snarling Dogs-Black Dog pedal
« on: June 19, 2007, 10:02:51 PM »
I've been looking for a distortion pedal for my Fender Blues jr. that sounds like a Marshall. I learned of the Crunch Box from this site, which sounds cool but I tried a Snarling Dogs- Black Dog today but on a solid state amp and Shecter guitar.

Tomorrow, I want to take in my Blues Jr. and BK loaded LP to give it a good wank. I really liked it today but I want to hear it with this set up. It will be a good back up for when I have my Marshall retubed\revalved.

Do any of you guys own one?

Here's a descrition of the pedal:

You own a classic American vintage or reissue amp setup and want more power and punch like the British amps of the late 60s, then add a Black Dog to your rig. Emulating the roar of a cranked up classic British amp driven by EL34 power tubes, you get great bottom, smooth highs, mid-range warmth, and exceptional in-your-face drive and crunch? Reminiscent of the song after which it was named.
