Straightforward Pickup
« on: June 06, 2007, 01:48:52 AM »
Hello there.
I m in a search of a certain kind of pickup and many friend suggested to give a look at the bareknuckles.
The pickups that I m looking for are "heading" for a gibson les paul.
My style is..well... kind of heavy robotic alt rock
I d like to add brightness, attack and snap to the paul(as much as possible).I use this instrument for mid gain nervous rhythm rockin and it is like  pickups telling me "wake up dude, nothin more than muddy mellow tones with us",so many times I end up playin and recording with my fenders.
I want my sound to be bity, punchy, bright(especially in the neck) n SIMPLE:I want to avoid uncontrolable overtones, and decay killing sustain.
Decent cleans would be cool.
From my experience with otherkind of pickups I like those with a5's,some ceramics, and I hate creamy a2s.
Sorry if I ve  overdescribed the sound I m after.
Got any suggestions????
