The guitar rig manual says that any buffered effects pedal will match the impedance ok. True bypass would be the same as plugging straight in. Thats what I do with guitar rig and it seems to work ok. Definitely sounds better than without. My friend bought a Saffire audio interface (cos he's fussier than me) and that sounds much better still, just more transparent and guitar-like for want of a better word. He uses amplitube also. Try sticking a pedal in between guitar and pc. Don't switch it on, but make sure there's a battery in it otherwise it don't work. You will hear a difference I'm sure, even if you can't put your finger on it. I just use an old preamp pedal that I no longer need since I got my Warpig. Good luck
