Well, I'm not sure what to do...I've got a few options as to where my money goes, tell me what you think :D

Well, this is what I want to do but the shop aret keeping in great contact atm, so its a little frustrating waiting between emails, but at the end of the day, I can walk away with a Charvel for about £300. I will upgrade the pickups to BKP's as soon as I have the money, and the floyd and slim neck is a bit of a want atm.

Next, I get a set of BKP's for my SG special.

Or, I save, get a Les Paul, get it custom done in that ever so sexy Sparkle Burst tha Steve Stevens has goin on, then put in some BKP's...

I have £300 atm. Currently I'm jobless, and 16 lol So money don't come easy ;):D

what do you want most? a charvel or a Les Paul?
Always go for what you want most, no matter what the price :)

You should go for a Les Paul, just sit down and think about what you really want, don't rush into buying anything, especially if you have no job. p.s. never work for Sainsbury's, Tesco, Asda, or the Co-op. lol

meh all joe-jobs suck ass, but you've gotta get one so you can buy ridiculous numbers of guitars. (since i've had my job in a cafe for a year i've bought 4)

Well, I really want the Charvel 'cus I already have a Gibson, and I think the diversty will be good, especially as I need a more shred guitar really. Plus, with the shapes I throw on stage, an LP may be a little heavy too?

But in sparkle burst it'll look so damn sexy 8)

Take your £300 and throw it at the best Les Paul you can buy outside of a Custom Shop Gibson Les Paul, and something you won't worry about tinkering with..........

An Orville by Gibson.

They're going up in price these days, but you can still get a good one for good money. You'll get a solid mahogany body (normally 2 piece for lesser models, solid for the reissues), solid maple cap, and the Gibson Custom Shop speciality of the long neck tenon. My personal opinion is that the Orvilles are actually superior guitars to most things from the normal Gibson production line. Others will probably argue, but my Orville by Gibson Custom Flametop is immense, and that's without the 'Stormy Monday' matched pair I have on order from Tim.

Why not buy a Charvel and have it done in blueburst?

Best of both worlds.

Oh, and BKPs aswell.

If only I could afford some.

EDIT: Where on earth did I get blueburst from? I meant sparkle burst of course. d'oh!
