Pod Xt question

I just got one of these magic kidneys, adn I was wondering, are the outputs from the left and right jacks the same sound as the USB output, or are they supposed to feed a power amp?

I only ask because I find its software troublesome. It took me an hour to get it to stop doing lots of automated shite and install the drivers myself. I dread to think how long it would take to get the USB connection signal thing into Cubase.

If the two sounds are the same, though, then I'm not going to bother. I can plug 1/4" jacks in my DAS, and have already got some (non ideal, but kind of passable for the note pad its for) sounds recorded.

:D Hi matey !

Not sure here but i think that the USB connection is for downloading software upgrades onto your Pod xt only. Now i could be wrong here so don`t take my word for it. It should tell you in the users manual or send in a question direct to line 6 themselves:

no is usb record as well(can do weird and wonderfull things like record clean signal, reamp etc), the asio drivers ain't bad(but use a powered usb hub, if you want to bypass problems)  but if got good soundcard would record using the L/R jacks.
