Total Guitar do alot of good backing tracks,
I can't seem to get TG tracks to play on the pc. Am I doing something wrong?
Don't think so. The CD's aren't the best of quality. I have a new Technics on my stereo wich doesn't play all my CD's. I have an old late '80's JVC in the studio. Indestructible, plays everything, CD's soaked in beer and scratches are no problem. Hell, it would play a pancake!
 I thought it might be something to do with the software i use on the pc..Winamp. It's great for all things really but TG discs it won't play them. Which is a pain cos i got the new one today and it has an Ironman backing track.
JVC stuff from years ago is top quality. I've got a huge brushed ally graphic equaliser from the late 70's. It's bomb proof and really sorts out my pikey hi-fi! I got it at a car boot sale 10 years ago for about 10 quid I think it was! The rest came from working in posh folks houses that they were chucking out!
I tell you Ratrod i'm kicking myself over this one. A mate of mine is a builder and one of his old customers rang him to see if he would mind disposing of her old stereo equipment with his van. So he rang me to see if i wanted any of it and i got a pair of brand new Linn speakers which i was well pleased about. The rest of it and there was tonnes of it, looked out of date so in my misguided opinion turned it down as i thought it was a white elephant. So he passed it all on to another mate of mine who got £3000 for it!!! :x :(
