What if i swapped my stock Mexi HSS strat bucker for a BK pickup (idk which, lookin for a PRS sounding pup) would it sound anything near the tone i would get outta a mahogany bodied guitar? would it have balls?

I think the Mexican standard strats are alder in the past few years... I have a Nailbomb in Alder with an ebony fretboard and it slays!

i want something to sound like a prs in my bright alder body...

Stating the obvious, but it's pretty difficult to make one type of guitar sound like a completely different type of guitar just by changing pickups.

Can't speak from personal experience, but a lot of people here seem to have got great results from putting Nailbombs or Holy Divers in alder bolt-ons.  It'll definitely have balls, whether it'll sound like a PRS is another matter.
