Need a simple preamp
« on: October 10, 2007, 08:45:19 PM »
Alright, here's whats going on.... As some may know, I use amp modeling using my PC, and I plug my distortions directly to the sound card. Some pedals won't work that way, so I need a preamp, as simple as possible, just to be able tu use those pedals... So... any suggestions?
I wish women were like pickups - if they lack output, you sell them... or ask Tim to rewind them :D

No... Don't need it for now... I just need a simple preamp... So I can boost the signal and use those pedals... Until now I used my guitar processor as a preamp, but now I don't have it anymore... Sold it to buy a new distortion pedal, haha....

EDIT: awwww, youre actually right! I thought yoou were refering to something else.. Just give me a sec to study it :D

You do, when they are quite short with cash, ahaha..

Anyways like I said, I just need something to get the sound out of those pedals... That's all I need, for now. :)

An even cheaper option is a Behringer MIC100 tube microphone pre-amp. I've had one for a couple of years, and it does it's job very well. Seems to be built pretty well too, unlike a lot of Behringer stuff.

The powerblock is great.  Been discontinued because no one bought them though.  I've been looking for a second one as a spare for ages.

Can't those little Smokey amps be used as a preamp?
Advice worth what you just paid for it.
