Help me choose a BKP..

I want to get something similar to that sound above. So which BKP should I get?

Not exactly same, but somewhat similar. I'm thinking of the Warpig or Miracle Man. But leaning towards Warpig, because I want to play clean too.

The guitarist on the above link, Syu, uses EMG 89 for bridge/neck for your information.

Welcome.

Both the Miracle Man or the Warpig will get this tone. I would be more inclined to use the Miracle Man.

^ TO knows his stuff!

I have a Miracle Man, and it cleans up really nicely.

Actually, I really don't know what that means. I play through a distorted channel, and it's absolutely brutal, and I play through a clean channel and it's bell-like (yeah, even on a Peavey 5150-II, which is meant to have a sub-standard clean channel). I presume "clean up" refers to when you roll back the volume on the guitar (which I never do).  On the clean channel, full guitar volume (pickups quite close to strings), it's not distorted at all for me.  Maybe it's a term applied to a distorted channel when you don't have huge gain on it, like I do...

Well, whatever, the MM is a SWEET pickup :)

PS I'm tempted by a ceramic pig next, though...

Is that a H&K Warp X he's playing through? Seems to have a lot of clarity even on high gain. That sound is probably mostly the amp and not the pickups. With a warpig that amp would probably be amazing.

Looks like I'm going for Warpig for both bridge and neck. But also DiMarzio Air Norton on neck attracts me too. Calibrated set, or Warpig/Air Norton. I can't seem to decide yet. Any advice?

My guitar body is mahogany, with set-neck Mahogany.

some people here compare the cold sweat neck to air norton, but i think the air norton has more output
cold sweat would be closer to the air classic
i think tim recommends the nailbomb neck for shredding
but the warpig neck is great enough for it
really powerful and smooth
the same about miracle man neck, which is supposed to be the same pickup
