Humbucker for strat for stoner/hard rock
« on: October 16, 2007, 09:38:24 AM »
I play in two bands one that that plays music in the vein of high on fire, sleep, the sword, orange goblin. And the other is a light rock/blues cover band. I have an anderson H3+ in my strat at the moment, which is WAY too smooth and doesnt crunch the way i want it too.

And i did have a VHII which was too bright with my amp Marshall superbass, boosted with a OD808.

Im looking for a crunchy raw tone, not too high gain, and really open sounding. And it must respond well to volume control.

I really like the clips of the crawler, and the rebel yell, and im really curions about the Emerald. anyone have any experience with these in a strat.

thanks
