Unfortunately, no. I don't even have the guitar as it's having some outpatient surgery done to it. When I get it back I can make a clip for ya, however!

ok... im still on my quest... for the moment ive put in a singlecoil size bucker... but i REALLY want to fit a full size BKP as soon as possible.

i currently have an Abraxus in my MusicMan Silhouette... i really love the sound, aggressive clean, heavy defined overdrive, but i bought my tele for live stuff (as it was about half the price and i dont mind tearing it up)... and i want to get a similar sound.

will another abraxus be the answer or will it be too shrill and "metaly"
(i mean because of the chrome bridge etc... not \m/ RWAR-CHUG-CHUG \m/ "meta!-y")... should i find something with less top end?

PLEASE HELP... id like to get this project done by xmas!

cheers again,

Iain

Depends on the construction of your Tele really - if it's ash it'll be bright, if it's alder it'll have a rounder tone, more in the ballpark of your Silhouette.  Fingerboard wood makes a difference too of course.

And what type of bridge will you be using?  The Gotoh Tele bridges for humbuckers have a thick baseplate so you get less of the typical Tele "ashtray" bridge tone.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Well, Jeff Beck had humbuckers in his tele, so how about Rebel Yells or Holy Divers?

its an alder body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard tele.

i was looking at the gotoh bridges as they seemed like the best ones our there.

im not one of those guys that touches themselves at night thinking about  the "tele" sound... so i really am open to all suggestions... even the more modern sounding pickups.

just for reference... im using a orange rockerverb amp... not much else apart from some pedals that makes silly noises and a booster.

if anyone is REALLY interested then give my band a listen at www.thedisplayteam.com and then you'll have an idea of the sound i need.

cheers for the help so far

i really like the sound of your band :D
no idea what humbucker though...
I'd probably stick with single coils...

...SUPER IDEA - what about a VHII with a coil split??

yeah... that was suggested before... but ive heard that the VHII sounds like a fatter single coil... and as im not a big fan of single coils anyway... im not too keen on the idea... im tempted by another abraxus... but i kinda want a different pickup (feels like a waste getting the same) ... ha! am i too fussy?

cheers about the nice band comment.. i like us to

yeah... that was suggested before...

no it wasn't.
And as far as not liking singlecoils goes...wtf? why did you buy a tele? - your music demands a bright singlecoil sound as far as i can tell, and a tele is perfect for that!

Rebel Yells also split really well in my experience, at least it did in my strat with only the slug coil active.

basically... i bought it because i played about on a J5 model and really liked the sound but not the huge neck... or the fact its a signature model... ive also loved the way standard teles feel and play for ages... so i thought id buy a standard and put a humbucker in it myself.

i know it wont please the true tele enthusiasts out there... but i dont really give a shite... im after my own sound... i just need help finding it

i also refuse to pay a shed load for a fender enforcer pu when i already know that BKP's kick the cr@p out of them... thats why im here... asking the experts.

i agree that single coils would give me the bright clean im after... but i really need the "balls" for metal etc. that you only get from a humbucker... and seeing that ive already found humbuckers that give you great, bright, aggressive clean (and not found many singles that give you great metal sounds) its a trade off and HB win

Could always try a Piledriver. High output single coils, but still punchy and cutting. I had a set but didn't like them (decided that high output ain't my bag baby), but they might work here.
