Ibanez 7620, shreddy neck pickup to go with an M7 bridge
« on: October 29, 2007, 06:46:17 AM »
For reference, mine amp is a Mesa/Boogie Mark IV through an Orange 2x12 cab.

Guitar is a basswood body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard.

I want it to be very clear and articulate for all the fweep fweep whirrirrrirrring, but still have a midrangey singing characteristic like Malmsteen. Also I like that half-pinched very harmonic overtoned sound you get when you really whack a string and give it vibrato.

Suggestions? Cold Sweat? Holy Diver? Eh?
