I have to disagree.  If you watch his other videos they're not all as geeky as Super bloody Mario.  At least he's playing music - which seems a lot more worthwhile (to me) than a load of wanky sweep picked arpeggios or something (although I bet he can do that too   ).

Now on the other hand, if you're questioning the whole concept of practicing 12 hours a day, or whatever, to gain mind-boggling technique, then I tend to agree - but I still wish I had the motivation, focus and determination to do something like that.
