Well, if I get it, I'm not sure. I'm in love with the MM's in my SG, but I dunno for a PRS. I'll see what it needs if it comes my way  :P

Totally agree Dave.

Am lusting after this one myself (must resist, must resit lol);

yeah, that's the one, I think. A little darker than I remember, but that could just be the photo (or maybe they have a lighter blue as well?)...

They do the 'blue jean' finish but only in Modern Eagle = $4,000+ ouch

The Blue Mateo is light. This addiction is worse than crack me thinks

GOOD choice!

I went to Austin Texas yesterday to demo an amp. Thats it, just demo an amp! I took an EMG equipt. guitar so asked to try a passive guitar there. They gave me a PRS Singlecut and it never left my hands!!!!!!!!! NEVER have I been so taken by a guitar before! It just felt as if I had been playing it for years.

Needless to say, wether 'needing' it or not (let alone affording it) it came home with me. It plays that well it 'inspires' me. No longer do I see PRS as 'wallhangers' they are in fact amazing guitars and IMO put companies like Gibbo to shame with their quality control, materials, wood choice, tone etc!

It's hard to photo but is a  'satin' with THE sweetest NON sticky neck ever :)

Dude, that guitar is stunning. I am now officially jealous! Threads like this are dangerous, they enhance GAS!!

i played a faded singlecut today. It was AWESOME (apart from the painfully light gauge strings).
It was really resonant - you could feel it when you struck a chord vibrating like an overdose on ecstacy - incredible feeling guitar. The neck was particularly stunning, gorgeous non-friction earthy finish, and a very comfortable size. damn i hate being a student

EDIT - i still want binding though
LOVING the Mules!

Damn right. Make the most of it dude, plenty of time for gear-buying in the future, but most only get one shot at the student life!  :drink:

Exactly why it HAD to come home with me, was NO real choice. First time that has EVER happened!

It plays sooooooooo much better IMO set up with 10's (they come std. with 9's yuck)

I own this 1995 PRS Custom 22 - and just put a BKP Crawler in the bridge position

It played and sounded dam' good before... but now?

To coin a well cliche-ed phrase... it's "AwwwwESOME"  :) I can recommend a Crawler - if you are thinking of swapping out the PRS items... gives that added "Grunt" .

It's just about to be converted to a three way toggle switch (from the 5 way rotary) which might just equal Perfection - to me, at least....
