I just tried out a Gibson Explorer and it was sweet. even though it was 24.75" scale it felt fine. and the pups were badass. really harmonic. what i think im gonna do is a normal scale explorer, maybe string through, with a Stratbucker bridge and single neck. the bucker will have a series/split/parallel too. Not decided on wheter to have volume or tone on this guitar either. Hmm.. what dyu recon?
