It's cool, but I wouldn't know what the hell to do with it, to be perfectly honest.

My wife plays Mandolin and more recently a Ukulele. I find it near impossible to play the mandolin as I have large sausage like fingers!

Hang it on the wall and every time a visitor comes round, point at it and say "How cool is THIS?"

I am loving on the "death metal mandolin" concept.

Sort of like "The Godfather" theme but, like, balls out rockin'.

Not sure what you'd do about vocals, though.  I don't think this is the time of place for Cookie Monster.

Mandolin is awesome fun to play.. If you can play guitar and read music or TAB you can learn mandolin in about 2 hours.. I did.

My Mando cover of Hey Joe would sound awesome on that thing cranked through a plexi!

i've got one of those!! :P

i've yet to get around to learning to play it properly, but the problem i had was that when i tried to tune it up to pitch the high string broke! and i've had trouble finding strings for it.

however, for posing in front of the mirror, it's cooler than polar bear poo!! 8)

It's tuned in 5ths so you can do 1 finger powerchords on any string anyway.
