Sustainer/Feedback pedals

as people have noted compressor is a good idea to increase sustain and get harmonic feedback. i sometimes use one for that reason depending on the PA.

CS-3 is good with the monte allums 'opto' mod, i saw he has an updated version of it now. i wouldn't use the standard cs-3 - its pretty bad.

you wouldn't use the meat knife on crusty bread but, equally, the serrated knife and straight edge knife aren't going to go through raw meat as quickly

Also, Boss made a pretty cool pedal in the early '80's called a "Distortion/Feedbacker" or something.  Hard to find, but a pretty neat unit.  I recall the distortion being kind of raspy in the wrong guitar but the feedback part being fun.

Yep, that's what I'd do, although there's chording towards the end of the song that would be difficult...

The original was played on an Infinite Guitar.

I got my Monte Allums modded CS-3 out last night to experiment. its truly an excellent pedal - but its impossible to play 'With Or Without You' in that way with it, i gave it a go ;)
