Carvin DC looking for new p'ups...
« on: February 20, 2008, 08:15:37 PM »
hey all...

did a quick search but found nothing to answer my question, so I am posting!

looking for suggestions and reasoning for my Carvin DC. the stock p'ups seem to be lacking?

playing through a Carvin V3 amp, and seem to gravitate towards classic rock (with a bite)...

appreciate all comments!

I would go for Bareknuckle pickups...mules? Look around on that forum...Mind you, you'll have to make the pickup route larger to accomidate an aftermarket pickup with carvin Dc guitars (hence my pickups are still stock!)
Gisbon Les Paul Custom with MMs
Bodenhamer modded Maxon OD808
Mesa/Boogie F-50
Marshall TSL 2x12

Will a standard sized pup even fit in the Carvin without routing?? I don't think so.

Send them off for a rewind, and choose the specs of what you want?
