Don't get me wrong, I love the cold sweat neck, I have matched CS sets in my two main guitars. It's not even about the mixed position either.
To me it's about continuity of tone - the matched pickups always feel like they flow very well - no jumps or drops in volume/gain, and they always complement each other very well. With mixed sets, I tend to feel like the guitar has two great pickups, but that they feel distended from one another.
Thinking about it I guess the CS neck wouldn't be a bad choice with the C-bomb, since that's basically a hot CS, but I expect a bit of juggling of pickup heights would be required to get the outputs even.
