Pickups For My Strat
« on: May 10, 2008, 11:24:15 PM »
I have decided that ist now time to get my 2007 Highway 1 Strat a set of new pickups, im aiming at a HSS layout with a coil tapped bridge, altho i may get a HSH layout with a Seymour Duncan 59' Jnr in the neck tho.

What im after is a good all round bridge pickup, as im going with the HSS for now, i play mainly metal and rockier types, but i want the pickup to be a good all-rounder, being good at most stuff. I supose the tones im meaning is Joe Satriani and Iron Maiden to Paramore sorta stuff for the dirt, but with good cleans as well.

Im open to suggestions for the middle and neck as well for the complete set, but again good allround tone from the mid and neck posistions.

Thanks again.

I have a Holydiver in a tele (used to be in a strat, sound's around the same) and love it. It's big and versatile- the clean tone is amazing and it handles any amount of gain with ease.
Mississippi Queens, Holydiver.

Thanks for the reply on the Holy Diver, sounds like the perfect verstile pickup from your review there.

I was also thinking about theese for the bridge:

Nailbomb
Miracle Man
Black Dog

Any good middle posistion pickups that would be a good match for any of the pickups ive mentioned???

Thanks Again.
