Rebel yell in my strat for hard rock/metal
« on: May 10, 2008, 09:40:10 PM »
Im looking for a pickup for NWOBHM type tone, I have had the VHII and I felt it needed a bit more oomph, but that was a long time ago, and I know alot more about getting good tone now.

I also had the Cold sweat in another strat and it was alright but didnt have the warmth I was looking for.

I play through a Marshall DSL and a JMP.

If I described my ideal tone it would be the big warm rock sound of thin lizzys live and dangerous with the more bright trebly/crunchy highs that EVH gets.

After listening to the clips on the site I love the tone people are getting from the VHII and rebel yells.

Advice?
