Did you have soundsclips or a youtube video attachment on it demonstrating the item?? They have pulled my listings for that before.

They usually send you an email shortly after pulling your listings to tell you why.

Most common reasons that I know of are ;-

1/ using certain words, which don't actually describe the item, in the title purely to get hits from people's searches.

2/ Stating that you retain the right to cancel the auction at any point as the item is for sale elsewhere.

Both are no-no's for ebay

Usually if you use any words they don't like it warns you as you're setting up the ad.   When I sold my Yamaha Billy Sheehan Attitude Limited bass it came up with some warning that using someone's name might imply an endorsement that doesn't legally exist.  But in that case the Sheehan endorsement was legit so I left the ad unchanged.

They also, bizarrely, really hate it if you list DVDs as region 0 or all region - they think that suggests it's a bootleg   .  Even though lots of smaller distributors like Tartan, Anchor Bay and Blue Underground produce perfectly legitimate region-free discs.  In those cases I just list the DVDs as region 1 or 2 because I'm afraid they will pull the ads.

Ebay is in a state of meltdown at the moment. They've changed several systems there and a lot of people are truly pissed off with it.

The result is that there are a few listings that are protesting the changes, which is making ebay a bit touchy with anything that even looks like it may possibly hint at perhaps being something that maybe violates listing regulations.

If you want to have a laugh go to the ebay community boards....

I'd be interested to know what's going on, but if I look I know I'll be there forever reading all the complaints.  Life's too short...

So we tried listing again. They pulled the Marshall again. So we rang up for 20 mins and they couldn't even tell us why.

Try using the ebay live chat. It might be quicker to get an operator at a quiet time like early morning etc
