Just ordered a VHII and Have some ???

Hi,

I just ordered the VHII and plan on installing it in a Kramer 1984(solid alder with maple neck) or my Kramer 1985 Reissue(hard maple body with hard maple neck/rosewood fingerboard. What do you think.

Also does the VHII have long pole screws that exceed the legs?

And another question. The bareknuckle site states this
Black =start of screw coil
White = finish of screw coil
Red = start of slug coil
Green = finish of slug coil

Since I'm fairly new to understanding pickups, how does that relate to the SD diagrams:http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=color_codes

The BKP wiring means:

Black and bare to ground
Red to hot tag of pot
Green/white taped together if you're not using a coil split.

Re. the leg/pole screw lengths it depends if you've ordered a long or short leg pickup.

And I think the VHII will sound good in a Kramer.  The VHIIs in my Jackson Dinky are awesome.

In that case, they'll probably stick out a little bit, or certainly be very close to the leg length.  The limiting factor I've found with pickups and cavities is usually the height adjustment screws more than the pole pieces....

Not quite, the Bare Knuckle colours are the same as Peavey.

It won't make any difference if you use a coil split, but it will if you use a series/parallel switch.  :)
