On the way home on the London Underground I saw a little snippet about this in a freebie paper. My eyes watered a bit.

That's a big chunk of my childhood gone, memories of my Nan, girfriends...
I can't
believe how much this has upset me. If you'd asked me about Weston Pier yesterday, I'd have said "oh yeah, not my sort of thing, it's for the tourists..."
Obviously I really do "come from Weston" ... and I hadn't regarded it as "home" for a very very long time.
