We've tried a cab with a removable panel on the back. It seems like a good idea at the time however you need to make sure that the removable panel makes a very tight seal with the rest of the cab. Also if you use self tapping wood screws there is a finite limit as to how many times you can unscrew an screw up the panel. You could go for T-nuts I suppose.....
