Vintage Stagger vs Flat Pole-pieces
« on: August 26, 2008, 11:04:33 PM »
Having decided on a pup set for my Jackson soloist HSS configuration, I now need to decide between vintage stagger or flush pole-pieces. My guitar's stock pups are vintage stagger, but the default set-up of Irish Tours seems to be flush. I assume that the flush set-up is there to reflect the flatter radius of more modern guitar necks, but should I just get pups that reflect what Jackson seemed to think fit the guitar best in the first place?

I'm assuming your Jackson has a pretty flat radius fingerboard?

I'd go for flush poles myself.
