Variations on a theme

Hello all,

Fisrt post in a while.

I've recently put together a Tele partscaster (ash body, maple neck) with a Glendale Blackguard bridge. Which is magnetic. Question is, has anyone with a Tele had experience with BK pups and magnetic bridges. Do the pups like the bridges?

Thanking all in anticipation

As far as I know, just about all vintage-style "ashtray" Tele bridges are magnetic - it's only the more modern American Fender and Gotoh bridges which aren't, they have thicker chromed brass baseplates.

As you know ( :)), some "boutique" companies like Glendale make non-magnetic stainless steel ashtray bridges, but regular Fender ashtray bridges (and copies) are magnetic, non-stainless steel.

So I'm sure you'll be fine - the BKP Tele pickups were probably voiced with vintage-style Teles in mind.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Thanks for that. It was one of those questions you sort of know the answer to, but have to ask just to be sure.

No problem.  You've got me thinking about getting one of those Glendale American Standard replacement bridges for my Tele now - although I see the right-handed ones are out of stock!  :D
