Korg Pitchblack tuner on its way
« on: September 26, 2008, 12:23:27 PM »
After months of indecision I have just taken the plunge. Having a gig lined up is always a justification :) Definately the coolest tuner I have seen, they're usually pretty boring things in my opinion. Here you can see all the cool modes:

I'll let you all know how it is when it arrives!:)

I have had one of these since near the start of the year, and it's hands down the best pedal purchase I've made. It's so worth the money! :D

is that because "it is all black, very sleek, very sturdy, ooo very hard... yes"  ? ;)

pleased someone endorses it here, on paper it looks great

Haha, those things are all good. I mainly like its accuracy, simplicity, ease of use and reading, etc. Plus, it's just damn handy how it mutes

tuners arrived and i've just checked it out.

as i suspected, all the modes are just as accurate as each other, no advantage to any of them exactly. anyway, its made of metal, has true bypass and has alot greater resolution than my existing tuner.

having all those modes is definately a slight gimmick. 90% of the time it will stay on the conventional meter mode. i might occasionally switch to the stroboscope view which is quite usable too.

so yeah - great product i'd say! its a fine tuner

edit: also it looks like a cross between a stealth bomber and 'the thing' from terry pratchett's nome books.
