Bernie Marsden's Guitar Stash
« on: September 02, 2008, 09:04:19 PM »
I get some interesting characters coming in to work.
Just been chatting to a Gibson fan that is a mate with Bernie Marsden from the old Whitesnake.
He was talking about having the chance to jam on Bernie's guitar stash and the number of original 58's he owns being well in double figures.

Anyone seen the amount of stuff he has?
If you like vintage gear it's worth having a look at the stuff he has on his website

I'd be happy with just these 4

Maybe "Bernie the Blag " will leave them to me when he stops playing

I'd be happy with just one of them. Then I'd sell it for a Feline.

Pah! As if... As much as I admire and want a Feline (that lion jr is in my sights...), that SG is far too tasty to sell on. It makes me feel strange, like i'll never be good enough to even look at it. Gar it's love.

Must have saw it before i realised my mistake, i meant the lion lp shape without the carved top on the feline site. I want it, but can't afford anything else now (might have bought a 'new' guitar, more on that story when it arrives)

I remember that one from when I came in to the workshop to pick mine up. I think it's technically a cousin of my Feline as it was from the same tree.
Am I right Jonathan? If so I'll show my lion a picture when I read her bedtime stories to her tonight.

Jonathan can you build a nighthawk for stock just so I can drool over it? They looked soooooo cool but the ones I encountered played rubbish; a problem that needs addressing. Oh bugger I think I've untapped some GAS.

I don't know what to say about that collection.  There's very little I wouldn't want.

I agree. And then again there's none of it I need.
