gahhhhh its back even with the onboard sound disabled! Guitar through amplitube 2 still sounds fine but things played in media player etc just sound awful :(

I'm actually having the opposite problem with Cubase, record a track... fine, play back through cubase, get a load of static pops in the playback (not in the track as they are different each time). Play back through MediaPlayer and all is well. Dunno what the hell is going on :(

Cubase knows about both sound devices and knows which itshould be using so there shouldn't be any conflict. Oh well, no biggie really.

Try increasing your latency.
