Yeah, you're right.

Although Duncan do call it a mini-humbucker, despite the lack of polepieces.

BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

You mean the lack of adjustable polepieces? :D

I should stop this torture, I do apologise.

Anyone addicted so much as they would buy a specialist pickup (hum cancelling SC, mini bucker, FB pickup, stacked or whatever weirdness) and send it for a rewind straight away?

And relax....

No.

There are loads of great specialist pickups out there which don't need rewinding.  Although I suppose if you really wanted a BKP Firebird pickup (for example) you could get something fairly cheap like a GFS and get it rewound.

I always go for BK's when I have the need and money for one. I try and see what I can do with what I have first, then I get a Bareknuckle for that little extra 'something' if I need it.

Pretty addicted here, got 7 sets now. But still not changing some:

_Baja Tele stays as is with Fender stock PUs
_Edwards LP Custom 3PU is fine with SH4 and two 59s ... at least for now
_Dano Lipsticks ... well BKP don't really make them and they sound fun as they are

Other than that I would like to try some Duncan Antiquities, some Häussels, Kloppmanns and some Suhr Aldrichs.

A Baja sounds pretty good with Blackguards Hunter  Not wanting to tempt you or anything.

And then the Dano - I'd agree with "fun", but it takes some getting used to after using another guitar for a while. I can't help feeling that they could be improved on though...

I have quick question on your Dano though - been meaning to ask for some time - the middle switch position on my Dano is wired as both pickups in series, is yours? (I'm begining to suspect they're set up according to the whim of whoever put it together ). I'd never have realised this if it wasn't for knowing the sound from the Baja four-way switch, I would have just been confused that the middle was so much louder. When I opened the Dano up, sure enough, the switch is wired all funny and the middle position is series rather than parallel.

But, umm... yeah I think we can say I'm addicted to BKPs
