OK, here's an interesting one.
Increasing the wind of a pickup doesn't increase output..................once you get past a certain amount of winds, usually 4000 per coil on a humbucker, output doesn't go up............the tone changes and gets darker, highs roll off etc and the tone is more staurated.
Remember it's the magnet that powers the pickup...........no magnet, no volume.
A Mule won't sound quiet in comparison to a Miracle Man, the tone will be less saturated that's all..............less compressed sustain too when overdriven.
