changing magnets

Hey guys. I've a Bareknuckle Warpig in my Gothic V. Sounds great, but I think I need something just a touch brighter/tighter as the V sounds a bit too bassy for my tastes. I'm going to mess around with my set up tomorrow and see what I can do first before I make any decisions. But how much do bareknuckle charge for a magnet change? It has an Alnico V and the moment and might consider changing it to a Ceramic.

Hi Steve,

the comprehensive answer is in the B.K.P. shop under 'accessories' I believe. Meanwhile I had my Stormy Mondays changed from AII to AIV a few months back, and I seem to remember it being a very reasonable £10 per pickup ( which included re-potting e.t.c ) . B.K.P recommend a recorded delivery service to them, and charge for a recorded delivery service back to you. They also do 'add ons' like new external wires, 4 conductor to 2 conversions - and of course the complete ' vintage rewinds' for those odd shaped pickups that you want converting to B.K.Ps.

As always, they provide great workmanship and returned mine very quickly.  :D

the change to ceramic magnets should do the business for you.

it's funny that a swapping magnets thread has come up - I've been emailing Tim about swapping my Mules over to A2.

I've also just rung Tim about changing my A5 pig to C!

How odd.
