Allens, or so goes the lore. How much you'll get out of it, I cant say (never done a like-for-like-except-the-poles).

Info is from a conversation about this very thing with Tim. Allens have sharper treble and more focused bass, screws a a bit looser and softer. From the shapes of the poles and the materials, I seem to recall.

Not a big effect though.

Oh, the best thing you can do with a pig if you want more treble is make the bridge-wards poles higher than the neckwards poles.

BIG effect.

maybe you can get a underwound warpig for less bass.

"Hi Morgan,

our stock pole screws allow a touch more magnetism to pass through so are a little brighter in response.I would also advise using 1 meg pots too.

kind regards

Tim"

I think he means these ones

"Would you like some lemon oil?"
"Oh, no thanks, I don't eat fruit."

Stock screws on a pig, I believe is what he means. Best to check though
