Hi Ben, you should let everyone know which pedals you've been going through, as it is an interesting list and your observations on them will definately help other people who are looking to get overdrive/fuzz pedals. It has been intersting to me to hear your opinions and also to pull out some older pedals that haven't been used in a while!
Just as another note on Burford pedals, Alan Exely has been in the music industry a long time (I think he started at John Birch many years ago). He rewound one of my JB superflux pixkups (I was lucky because it was a very old one it wasn't full of baked epoxy, and also Alan had some spare bobins!). I couldn't tell you which one he rewound, the sound is spot on (as many people who have tried the guitar will also tell you). He makes some interesting onboard electronics, which are all passive. I have used his Strat tone set a couple of times, and also the tone cubes. The pedals are really good, though they do look a bit Heath Ronbinson-ish! The neat thing about the Electron Suzz is that it uses a Fasel inductor in the tone switch to give the 'c--ked wah' tone which is really useable.
