The Mule - Uncovered/Covered?

Hey all. I was curious of the differences, if any, of the Mule neck. Any experience both?

The general rule is that the difference is negligible.  Not to mention Tim winds the covered pickups to compensate for any loss in the high end that would occur from adding a cover.
