Fr33man's LP custom eternal pîckup choice
« on: July 14, 2010, 01:46:21 PM »
Okay guys I got my axe sorted for once (I think)

I tuned my custom explorer back to E and damn, why did I want a gibson one. This thing has some serious balls and grit given by the holy diver, it slays for rock, metallicaish thrash riffs and even sounds accoustic like on clean.

Got an esp eclipse for dropped C metal stuff with some rebell yells and it sits pretty nicely there with good bass reponse, middy and fat sound.

I'd like to go vintage side on my les paul custom. It has nailbombs right now, its cool sounding but I'd like something richer sounding, less compressed, more wide sounding. Im an absolute idiot when it comes to describe vintage stuff, I just want that rock n roll wide punchy gritty sound when you go for some classic rock riffs.

I thought first to switch rebell yells and nailbombs but they are cool in the esp. What about VHII ? or Tim' T Top replicas ?
