London Guitar Show - stupid dates!
« on: January 11, 2009, 05:26:48 PM »
Looks like this Years London International Guitar Show  which incorporates the London Guitar Show  once again clashes with TWO big festivals:

Download
Isle of Wight

This will mean that once again it is a pretty dubious choice as to whether we will have a stand - and it may be likely hat BKP wont either as many of our core audience will be elsewhere.

Seems really silly to have put it on on those dates again.

yeah, that sucks. though the dates aren't so much the problem as the location for me... if it were held in belfast (heck, even dublin), i wouldn't have a problem with the dates... :)

I have no personal problem with the dates. I do have a problem with dates making it not worthwhile to go because things that are of interest to me wont be there.

touche, that's a very good point.

you have to wonder at a lot of people organising stuff. it just seems like a lot of idiots are in charge nowadays (or maybe it was always like that). i mean, that'd be a bit like organising the FA cup final for the same day as the world cup final... :?

I feel like going. But only cause this is my first time that I'm actually in London able to go.

This is a real shame, didn't Doug used to go to Download with a load of guitars every year?

I'll have exams in that period this year, so won't be at download, but should still be able to lose a day to come to LGS.
My last FM.
ESP Horizon NTII.
ESP Viper Camo.
ENGL Screamer.

Perhaps it's been done deliberately so that all the grown ups can play in peace while the kids are at Download?

Just in case anyone has sense of humour bypass, it's a JOKE, people... :)
