Well the break is actually at the other end close to where the neck meets the body, don't know if that makes any difference?

same applies, done well it should be fine, its just most people will have more experience with head breaks as they happen more often.

I've got no problem buying a guitar with a well-repaired headstock breakage.  I bought a 90s Gibson Firebird for £300 around 6 years ago, was a great guitar with plenty of resonance to it - was an inspiring guitar and one I'd wanted since I first saw Steve Clark (RIP) with one.

Sadly, the pickups were WAY too bright and the balance of the guitar was terrible so I p/ex'd it for a '67 SG jr which ended up being a worse guitar in most ways - oh well.

Nuts!

the guitar ended earlier than i thought!

No bidders at £199 - def worth a gamble  IMHO

Its already done the rounds a few times; so i'm sure it wont be long til its
back.

Might be worth messaging the guy.
You could get it even cheaper given that the auction has ended and e-bay wouldn't be taking a cut anymore
