Yeah, after the 7th he was getting a bit tired... still... he wasn't like other fighters that seem to hit a wall and just fall to bits. I'm sure there has been even more boring fights too. As for him going down, he did it a lot and maybe shouldn't have complained so much, but if you have a 2 stone weight advantage it's probably easier to shove someone over if they've just lunged at you and ducked down like like Haye was doing? I don't think I've ever picked a fight with someone 2 stone heavier than me to try and find out!

If he's been crying about it then that is a bit silly. I thought he did well to last the 12 and didn't really look that shook up at the immediate end. I think Haye could have gone a few more rounds, but probably wouldn't have fared any better. If he was Audley he'd have got smashed to bits in the second round.

I watched it. jab, jab, jab, jab, jab from the Ukranian
Haye kept lunging to get close and then getting pushed to the floor when off balance.
Or he dived on the floor each time, depends on who is watching.
Both took 2 or 3 good digs and stood solid when others may have dropped.
6/10 for action. Haye did some great dodges from the jabs, but you don't get points for that

There were clear dives and clear pushes. But for the most part it was Haye at fault. Lunge in really low and when the guy touches you fall over and piss and moan. The count was a mistake on the ref's part but other than that I think the ref ran it fine.

I'm sure i've seen worse fights for being straight jabs a nothing else. At least Haye gave some ideas a try.

Those low lunges were bad, but I guess they worked once or twice. The fact they worked at all probably meant that became "Plan A" and perhaps shouldn't have been.

I was wondering about the lunges. Personally, I thought as he came in after the jab, Klitschko's left arm would drop down across him and then klitschko's elbow would come up as a reaction to Haye's lunge. Too tall for Haye to reach over the arm to get a good shot at the head most times, so he seemed to end up sliding up under Klischko's arm and either ended up getting held stood up around the neck, or ducking (to dodge a possible counter?) and ending up with Klitschko's arm on his back because he finished too low and off balance.

Once there I don't know what you'd do if you were Klitschko... maybe lean down and try to keep Haye there, because if you let him up he's within range to spark you, or let him go and risk it. It as probably easier for Haye to put his knee down once he was there than try to force his way up from being off balance... but maybe he should, then he would have been up close and could have done something, but he probably would have got held by Klitschko and then he'd be back to square one after separation. would have been interesting after one of those lunges if rather than go down and winge he popped off a massive uppercut.

There's no way Haye will retire after that underwhelming performance even if he outperformed most of Wlad's previous challengers. They both did hardly anything, too cautious fighters shite scared of getting knocked out does not make for a good fight. People are saying that Wlad had a comfortable win by a wide margin but what did he actually do? pitter patter with the jab and get on his bike as soon as haye was going to launch. He hardly ever connected let alone threw his big right hand and was playing safe, quite happy not to fulfil his promise of a 12th round KO of Haye. This fight has left a bitter taste of dissatisfaction for most fans and probably both fighters. What's shocking is that adam booth didn't have a game plan B which should have been implemented at least half way through when it was clear that Dave was behind on the scorecards. Oh well, the Haye team blew it, more a case of Haye losing than Wlad winning this one.

I'm sure it won't be long before Haye returns running his mouth to hype some fights with local bums like fraudley for more money, still more exciting than watching wlad though.

Carl Froch fight in october should be better, that guys is never in a boring fight!

It WAS a comfortable win for Wlad, he went out with a plan that he obviously stuck to, didn't let Haye do anything and took all but three, maybe four rounds easily. He's not an exciting boxer to watch (how many brilliant contact sportspeople are?), but he's extremely effective.

I certainly think it's silly to declare he was scared of getting knocked out, he'll clearly have been aware of how hard Haye can connect if he gets a chance, and also have been aware that he can happily prevent him from getting the opportunity, so why bother take risks?
