Korina Singlecut
« on: February 18, 2009, 04:40:23 AM »
I have a one off Korina Singlecut, 24 3/4 scale, rosewood board, Korina neck.

Body is not quite as thick as a Les Paul

Only weighs about 7.4 pounds.

Bands tones I like to emulate are Gojira, High on Fire, Byzantine.

For metal which pickups would be better, Painkiller or Nailbombs?

That would be insanely thick so yeah!
A-Pig 7s, Miracle Man & Mule, Cold Sweats... Expensive kit and no talent posse.

Tim recommended Miracle man's for a little extra weight in the bottom end and a touch more output.

Any thoughts?

You've picked three bands with guitar sounds that are massively different, which makes things a struggle

I think nailbombs would be your best bet, if you really want to cover the full spread of those acts.
