Which ones?
« on: February 27, 2009, 10:50:23 PM »
Hey,

Im having a guitar made in the near future buy Eveguitars (dont know if you've heard of them)
anyway, at first i was thinking about having

Neck: Cold Sweat    Bridge: Nailbomb

but would this work better?

Neck: Nailbomb   Bridge: Warpig

I have a peavey 6505 if that helps, if you need to know anything else just ask

Cheers

Depends what you are after really. Each of those comes as a calibrated set so unless you are looking for something specific I'd look at the sets first. Tim is good at matching pickups.

Lets say, Machine Head , Metallica, that sort of tone.

Its going to be a Mahogany body with a bubinga top

I think i'll have the nailbomb in bridge, as I heard Cortex's clip of his through his 6505, and thats the sound I want.

All I need to do now is to find a great neck pickup

If your perception of a sound is what you want, then why not go for it. You don't have us stopping you. Don't hold back because of us.

PS. I like that sound clip too :o
PPS. Welcome to the forum.
PPPS. If you're unsure and don't want to wait as much, just ask Tim.

Miracle Man is pretty much the only pickup that repeatedly springs to mind. It's bang on the money for what you're asking. If I were going to get a neck pickup, I'd get the same as the bridge in a calibrated set. They're called calibrated sets for a reason, you know ;)
