Im back. I knwo i asked it before, but i thik it was different kind of wood/guitar
Im currently Using a Warpig(regular screws) in a fender american standard stratocaster. Probably Alder body, and for sure, And One piece All Maple Neck 22 fret Neck. Tuned to D standard with daddario strings 012 heavy Gauge.
Thats what i want a(FENDER NECK ) : High output, full size humbucker for the Fender guitar with Overal Smooth and Singing Tone. Smooth , Singing And velvety Highs, Articulated and balanced Middles(no Scooped no reduced Middles, but, not loads of crushing middles too), And Deep and singing Bass(no need to be tight here).
The Other Guitar is a Charvel Japan, fusion deluxe model. im not sure if the body is Basswood or Poplar, what i know is that it Naturally Lacks middles. cause when i experiemnted with pickups with scooped/reduced middles, it doesnt work at all for me. Im currently Using a Nailbomb in There. Im pretty happy with it but i noticed that i have to Tweak the 5150 EQ knobs to get a better Sound, cause the bass tends to overpower the amp. The rest of the frequencies are ok. And, regarding the warpig, i still feel a lack of Highs, they doesnt shine enough for me. So, i think ill swap pickups.
For My Charvel, im sure ill have to go Custom Shop , since its a Single coil, direct mount into the wood, WITHOUT that snap on the baseplate of the pickup, cause i tried a trilogy and a custom sinner in there and they bth didnt work for me at all.
So, which Pickups would you recomend for me there, based upon my descriptions?
As a refference , for the full size humbucker that will go into my Wooden pickguard in the fender guitar , You can think of the CARCASS tone on the cd HEARTWORK. Specifically on the leads of two of their songs, in fact, 3, my favorite ones : Buried Dreams, This mortal Coil, And ... Death Certificate.
And, for the neck single coil slot on my Charvel, as a refference, think King diamond - Abigail Lead sounds of the bc rich Gunslinger that i believe Andy Larocque used on that one for the solos.
