New tune... and where is yours?
« on: March 20, 2009, 09:41:13 PM »
I uploaded my latest tune here, give it a listen http://www.reverbnation.com/lrk

It would be great to have other BKP members Myspace/Soundclicks etc please  8)

I just found ReverbNation and as long as it's under 8MB you can upload at 192kps! Much better than the Myspace 96kps and Soundclicks 128kps!

Sounds good Lew. The riff once the into ends is really good.  :)

I'm gonna use it as a reference for anyone who says the 513 bucker tones are weedy too - everything was clear bucker mode in bridge position, even the intro(with vol turned down).

Thanks - that's the fruit of my labours this weekend, lol. I didn't get to mix it as I'd planned (it was a multitrack recording assignment due in today - I had a band coming in to record a song, but they cancelled, leaving me having to knock something up by myself on Saturday. _tom_ was supposed to be coming up help aswell, but he cancelled on me too!)
I'm really into the course at the moment - I spend a lot of time hanging around in the studios helping people with recordings, and the rest of my time doing assignments, so not too much typical student living but it's all good! I've found something I really want to be good at.

EDIT: I only got this SoundCloud page today - I'll probably upload some more music over the next few days.

It sounded really good. Its a dark, moody sounding track, it sounds really good. Recording isn't easy, I've done my head in with it so much that I'm almost too pissed off with it to go near it again. But I love it! I'd love to have a go at what your doing. Its got to be one of the coolest courses you could do. To really learn it properly is a valuable thing to have. All this tech is useless with out the knowledge to use it.
I heard Tom was going to drop in to you. Maybe next time eh!
I hope it all works out for you Indy.  :D
